Web Development Director

@life

Adam grew up in the suburbs of Dallas and came to Austin for college in 1994. After graduating, he spent six years living in San Francisco and Portland before returning to Austin in 2004 with his wife, Sara. He’s a huge sports fan and spends far too much time rooting for the Mavericks, Cowboys, Longhorns, Rangers and Rays. When he’s not in the stands or on the couch watching his teams, he’s likely to be planning his next trip or enjoying live music around town. His most recent adventure is his first child, Miles, who was born in August of 2012.

What cause are you passionate about?
I’m most passionate about causes related to children and the environment.

What was the first big thing you bought with your own money?
After a couple years working at a large consulting firm, I bought a motor home and spent a summer traveling around the country visiting friends and seeing shows.

Where’s your favorite vacation spot?
I was married in Ogunquit, Maine – a small town on the southern coast of Maine, where my wife’s family has had a condo for over twenty years. We return there every summer for a week to nap, stroll and eat lobster rolls and drink coffee and time stands still.

If you had a time machine, what would you do?
I’d travel back to the Summer of Love and hop on Ken Kesey’s bus and spend the summer traveling across the country seeing some of my favorite bands in their heyday.

Have you ever won a contest?
In 9th Grade, my friends and I won first place in a speech competition by painting our faces blue, wearing tighty whities on our head, and lip-synching to Father Abraham in Smurfland.
