Customer Care Team Lead


Karla is originally from El Paso, Texas, but moved to Austin when she was five years old and has lived in the capital city ever since. To her, Austin is very much her home. She enjoys reading, hanging out with friends and family – especially being an Aunt, and circuit projects.

What cause are you passionate about?
I am passionate about human rights, women’s rights, and education, among many other passions.

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Italy, I love historical buildings and art museums. I’ve always pictured myself living there.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
I would make sure my family is taken care of. Then I would buy a ranch 15-20 minutes out of Austin to raise horses, cows, and goats make it a destination spot for people to disconnect from society. They can have a real-life ranch experience, and for those who want to get away, we could also have a spa, yoga classes. I would also invest the rest of the money to make more money to travel the world.

What did you want to be when you grew up? What happened?
As a kid, I was always changing my mind to me; the sky was the limit. I wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, Special FBI agent, to name a few.

What is the best invention during your lifetime? 
I would have to say the iPhone. It changed the world in so many ways, from people being able to connect long-distance with Facetime to having food delivered to you during social distancing.
