Born and raised a Louisiana girl, Marcie grew up in Baton Rouge and graduated from Louisiana State University, home of the undefeated 2019 national champions in football. Marcie now resides in Memphis, TN, where she enjoys sitting being “outdoorsy” by drinking with friends on patios. She is a proud aunt to 4 awesome nieces & nephews and is an avid photographer. She enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family and friends and writing bios that sound like they belong on dating apps.

What cause are you passionate about?
Alzheimer’s research is near and dear to my heart, having lost 2 grandmothers to the disease. There are so many others (pediatric cancer, hunger, homelessness), but that is the one that hits the closest to home.

What was the first big thing you bought with your own money?

I remember buying my first nice DSLR camera. I was so excited when it arrived. I’ve upgraded equipment a few times since then and every time, I’m just as eager to test it out.

Where’s your favorite vacation spot?
I usually end up spending most of my vacations visiting family or friends in Louisiana, Virginia, Arkansas and South Carolina. I love the beauty of the mountains, but I’m a ski-school drop-out. My favorite vacation moment is sitting on a balcony overlooking the ocean, sipping coffee or a glass of wine while listening to the waves.

If you had a time machine, what would you do?

I would go back to the late 80s, elementary school age, back to when my great-grandparents were still alive and my grandparents were in their prime. I would try to recapture all of those memories that have faded over time.

Have you ever won a contest?

The first contest I ever won was a holiday drawing at the age of 3 or 4. My mom entered my name at a local gift store for a drawing for a 5 ft overstuffed reindeer named Rodney. It was probably 5x my size and I just loved it. We brought it out every Christmas and now, I have a mini Rodney as part of my own holiday décor.
