Senior Project Manager
Ryan is from Durham, North Carolina. He is paradoxically both a Blue Devil and Tarheels basketball fan (believe it or not they do exist). In addition to being an avid sports fan, he enjoys writing and performing rock music in local Austin bands, reading low and highfalutin literature and pulp, and hiking Austin’s many greenbelt trails.
What cause are you passionate about?
I’m an avid hiker and enjoy working with organizations and the City of Austin to upkeep existing trails and plan for future green spaces.
As a child, what was your favorite cartoon?
Voltron. For those who don’t know the awesomeness of Voltron, it was about a giant robot transformer made up like lions and driven by a rogue crew of rebels.
What’s your favorite movie?
It’s a tie. “Zoolander” and “2001: A Space Odyssey”. I like to mix my art house fix with guilty pleasures.
If you had a time machine, what would you do?
My ambitions are small, but I would use my time machine to travel back a few hours to add limitless snooze time before waking up.
What was your first paying job?
Bernard’s Formal Wear. I had the pleasure, or embarrassment, of advertising tuxedos in high school before prom season.
Ryan graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. Upon graduation he moved to Austin, TX to pursue a career in film and video production. In addition to his creative endeavors, he has worked as a copywriter and editor for a variety of companies including Hoover’s Inc. and Treehouse Educational Publishing. Drawing from his diverse experience leading projects and a passion for volunteering, Ryan joined Charity Dynamics in January 2011 as a project manager. He works with clients to integrate Boundless Fundraising within their fundraising events.
