WHAT IS THE LAST BOOK YOU READ?
I’m currently reading “Journey to the Center of the Earth” by Jules Verne with my kids. It’s a very impressive work of science fiction when you consider it was written in 1864.

WHAT SUPERPOWER WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE?
I would really like to be able to fly like Superman. Not only would that be a lot of fun, but it would allow me to considerably up my game in hanging Christmas lights in the trees around my house.

WHERE’S THE NEXT PLACE ON YOUR TRAVEL BUCKET LIST AND WHY?
My family and I are planning a weeklong road trip this fall to visit Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Arches and Mesa Verde National Parks. We’ve always wanted to do a family road trip out west, and our kids are now old enough to connect the sights we’ll see with the things they’re learning in school.

HAVE YOU EVER WON A CONTEST?
When I was in third grade, I won a contest where I designed a poster about tractor safety (I grew up on a farm). More recently, I won a door prize while working at St. Jude. The team from our Los Angeles regional office brought a basket of sweet California swag, which I won! Among other goodies, I ended up with a pair of socks in the design of the California state flag and a coffee mug that has a handle shaped like a surfboard.

IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
I would love to travel back in time to 1893 to attend the World’s Fair in Chicago. There were so many inventions and new products that debuted there that we now take for granted, including the automatic dishwasher, the zipper, the Ferris Wheel, Juicy Fruit gum, and the hamburger. It would be fascinating to see the public’s reaction to all of these strange new things.
