Meghan Dankovich

General Manager

@life

Meghan is a northeasterner born and raised in Saugerties, New York where she grew up skiing and hiking in the Catskill Mountains. While she misses the four seasons in the mountains, east coast beaches are her happy place and where she spent a decade of time before moving to Austin, Texas 15 years ago. Meghan served as a local board member for the Central/Southeast chapter of Make-A-Wish and currently sponsors a student in Kenya through Moja Tu. She believes the greatest gift one can give is their time. When she’s not jogging her neighborhood trails, she enjoys Hotworx classes, exploring historic hotels and bookstores, traveling with friends and family, teaching her brainiac dog new tricks, and movie nights on the couch with Chinese take-out.

What cause are you passionate about?
Sharing my birthday with Earth Day I’ve always had an affinity for environmental causes, but I also support those I am more closely connected with – kidney disease, heart disease, breast cancer, ending poverty through education, and animal welfare.

What did you want to be when you grew up? What happened?
I wanted to be an attache, live abroad, and travel the world. I studied International Business, Spanish and German and even spent a semester in Mexico. What happened? Eh, ancient history. I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Take care of friends and family, set myself up for retirement, then volunteer around the world for as long as I could. 😊

What do you think is the best invention of your lifetime?
These days I’m really appreciating video conferencing.

Where is your favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere it’s about 80 degrees with a slight breeze, white sands, clear waters, blue skies, singing birds, rhythmic waves on a shore… and sharing a fancy drink with my best friend.
