Challenge

  • For its previousemail campaign strategy, the organization lacked the important step of knowing how to implement the campaign within Luminate Online.
  • We needed to provide strategic implementation guidance on email campaigns and TeamRaiser coaching emails.

Approach

  • Provided strategic direction for each email campaign on which Luminate Online module was best to use: email campaigns vs.welcome series vs. TeamRaiser coaching emails.
  • Provided clear instruction on query builds and how to automate as much as possible for campaigns that could be set up like a welcome series (specifically for TeamRaiser emails based off registration dates).
  • Included guidance on conditionals, segmentation and source codes so reporting would be concise.

Outcome

  • Charity Dynamics delivered direction across 11 email campaigns from direct response, end of year, advocacy and TeamRaiser P2P events.
  • Open and click-through rates were above industry standards.
  • A full coaching series implemented for the organization’s Purple Stride Spring walks resulted in stronger activation in fundraising behavior, including emails sent, pages updated and personal donations made.
