Shatterproof – The Shatterproof Challenge

Project Description

Shatterproof partnered with Charity Dynamics to create a better online platform for their Shatterproof Challenge Rappelling events. Shatterproof is a national organization committed to protecting children from addiction to alcohol or other drugs and ending the stigma and suffering of those affected by the disease. The Shatterproof Challenge allows participants to take a more active role in this cause by using the platform to raise funds (individually or by recruiting teams) to rappel down the side of buildings in designated cities, thereby raising awareness and interest in those areas.

Challenge

  • Redesign a website that increases registrations and maximizes participant fundraising.
  • Create a website that is streamlined and allows the audience to find what they need quickly and achieve their goals effortlessly.
  • A website that engages participants and supporters to raise funds and spread the word about Shatterproof’s mission.

Approach

  • Conducted a comprehensive examination of the client’s favorite non-fundraising streamlined sites including what works best and what doesn’t combined with our best practices.
  • Work out a gamification strategy to encourage and assist the participant in raising funds to the goal amount and beyond.
  • Exploration of the Shatterproof Challenge’s mission, past events, and the way it connects person to person.

Outcome

  • Preserve brand consistency among events as much as possible with a progressive, modern design.
  • Improve the user experience by encouraging users to take clear, concise and compelling actions (register, donate, log in to fundraise).
  • Connect registrants more deeply to the mission; showcase the fun while encompassing the fundraising support and compassion around the mission with engaging photos from the events, videos and instagram feeds.
